Whistling Straits is an open, rugged and windswept terrain golf course, with two Championship courses
- Commissioned by Herb Kohler, designed by Pete Dye, and opened in 1998. They are owned by Kohler Co.
- The Straits Course measures 7,790 yards from the back tees.
- Links-style golf course with eight holes hugging the Lake Michigan shoreline.
- Offers premium golf shop, caddie service, and high-end locker rooms.
- The 7th and 17th holes, both Par-3s along the lake, are signature holes.
- Best during mid-May to mid-October when Wisconsin weather is most golf-friendly.
- Located five miles north of Sheboygan, Wis., about 60 miles north of Milwaukee.
- Accommodation available at the nearby American Club and Inn on Woodlake.
