Black Mesa Golf Club is a challenging course nestled in the mesa hills north of Santa Fe, New Mexico, featuring stunning rock formations, wild grasses, tree-lined fairways, and large greens.
- The course was opened in 2003 by the Pueblo of Santa Clara and is currently operated by the Pueblo.
- Par 72, length 7313 yards from longest tees, slope rating 142, course rating 74.8.
- Course design incorporates natural terrain, elevations changes, five sets of tees accommodating all skill levels, and low tree densities that open panoramic views of the desert.
- Features a well-stocked pro shop, a bar and grill, and a large outdoor patio.
- Hole 16, a downhill par 5 with scenic views, requiring a strategic play over a deep arroyo on the second shot.
- Offers year-round playability, however, spring and fall offer the most temperate conditions.
- About 35-minute drive from Santa Fe Municipal Airport, head north on US-285 N/US-84 W towards Española, then turn right onto NM-30 N.
- Located 26 miles from Santa Fe; local accommodations include various hotels in Santa Fe and Española.
